Aretha Franklin - Rocksteady - Isolated Rhythm Section -Bernard Purdie (Drums) + Chuck Rainey (Bass)

Legendary groove from Aretha's Grammy winning Album Young Gifted and Black. This was her best band and period for me. She was branching out to Rock audiences a bit more. Killer band w masters Purdie and Rainey both of which who are still alive today and recognized as some of the best to ever do it on their respective instruments.

Re-hearing this song, a week ago, go me re-listeing to this incredible song. Killer rhthym section of Bernard and Chuck. They hold down some of my most favorite songs! The Queen Of Soul knew who was the bedrock!
