Meet the 2022 Guiding Stars of our Local Guides Community

Google Maps helps millions of people make informed decisions every day. But it’s not without the contributions of our passionate Local Guides. They are the global community who inspire people everywhere to explore the world by sharing what they know about theirs. To close out the year, we want to celebrate and thank the community by shining a light on some of its many stars.

Shout out to the "Twin Cities"! I believe geo-located photography is the most valuable content we can create. Not only does it allow for localization of advertising, but it builds and refines crowd sourced point cloud data for reconstruction in Virtual Reality and augmented Mixed Reality.
