I did order the Ipad Mini in Pink, as a gift for my Wife, but Apple said it was a 6 week wait. I then had a rethink. Wife wanted a replacement for her 2008 Macbook Pro. I then went out and found a 1TB Ipad Pro 11" and although it was double the price of the Mini, I think it's the viable replacement for her Macbook. I'm happy and she is happy. That's our story on that issue. As for me, I just ordered the Iphone Mini in Product Red and I might order the Ipad Mini as a compliment for it, like you have. Happy days ahead :)

I purchased the iPad Mini 6 and plan to replace my iPar Pro 11” and use it s my daily driver so to speak for; mail, web browsing, photo editing, video editing, using it to control my telescope, reading books, magazines. I purchased the cellular version for when I am out and about for maps, internet connectivity etc. So far so good, its lighter, compact so sitting on the couch etc is a much better experience for me than when I used my 11” iPad Pro. I picked up the iPad Mini 6 this past Friday and have not touched my 2020 iPad Pro 11” since.

I gave a mini 6 to my wife (I have the 12.9 pro) and i think Apple really nailed it with the small form factor. She’s upgrading from my old hand me down Air 2 from 2014!, and ideally besides the casual around the house browsing and media consumption, I am hoping it will be a perfect on the go note taking device for her both personally and professionally. The fact it got the upgraded front camera for video calls and Apple Pencil 2 that we can share, and also supports optional 5g on the cellular model means its so much more likely that she can have it with her all the time compared to the older/heavier/worse battery Air 2. Just like the best camera is the one you have with you, this iPad handles most of the things necessary very well, in a well designed neat package.

Hi Mark,
Using mine as a 13 Mini companion. Purchased the ‘Paper Like’ screen protector and Apple Pencil 2 note taking has been a true joy. Email consumption, streaming, and texting all done from the comfort of my couch or while traveling is fantastic. My only concern is how little I am using my MacBook Air M1 as well as iMac 24” now. As a non-Pro user, it’s just easier to pick up the iPad Mini and/or 13 Mini vice getting up and using the other devices. Thus, this redesigned iPad Mini coupled with my 13 Mini’s longer battery life have reinforced the value of minimalism! IMHO, over time I think other non-Pro users may draw similar conclusions.

I’ve been using my iPad Mini 6 since Friday. Suffice to say the transition from my more than capable 5 has been seamless. The 6 is just lovely and the slightly bigger screen is perfect as is the Touch ID. Just love it to bits. I use mine for You Tube, some streaming, emails and the Internet when I’m downstairs in my lounge. For me it’s a perfect product

I am going mini 13, too. I just got my iPad Air 4 And Apple Pencil last month. I’m a chemistry and lab science student having gone to digital notetaking and I love it. I did get a like-paper screen protector (off brand paperlike) and a pen like Apple Pencil tip. It works amazingly.

You have me hooked. I am seriously considering the iPhone mini, but I am definitely getting the iPad Mini. I still use my iPad mini 2 and I mainly use my iPad Pro 2018, but this is going to be my true Personal Digital Assistant (PDA). I will take this everywhere and use it for Calendaring, tasks, contacts, YouTube, Kindle, Music, Obsidian, etc. All the best Mark!

I did buy it, I plan on using as my consumption device as well bc I have a iPhone 12 mini. Also I want to get a hub and plug it into a monitor while using a Apple keyboard and Magic Trackpad if I need to write any papers for school or stuff like that. Then just use the Apple Pencil to take notes in class and stuff

I received my iPad mini 6 on Saturday, its the 256gb cellular version. I run a small business and intend to use it for taking notes with the Apple Pencil 2, looking and replying to emails when out plus content consumption when out and about. Can not get use to Touch ID after have devices with Face ID, overall I love the device.

I watched your iPhone 13 mini unboxing last night… heard your great idea about using your iPad mini for watching content etc and I am now the proud new owner of the iPad mini 😂 It’s the perfect size and a great lounging device.. I’ll be using this to watch YouTube vids, Netflix/Stan, reading books and social media type stuff. First iPad device I’ve owned, so far I’m not regretting it :)

I got mine last Friday and I love it! I'm using it as just a normal iPad. I have the pro but it's huge, heavy, and lives in the keyboard case. I rarely use it as a tablet. The mini, however, is a true tablet and I'm loving this form factor. I had the first gen mini but gave it to a friend and never replaced it. So glad I finally did!

Mark, we may be separated by an ocean but I like seeing someone who thinks like me.
I gladly traded my Mini 5 in for the 6 and couldn’t be happier with it. It compliments my 13 Mini perfectly except in color, the Mini 6 is Space Grey while my 13 Mini is Blue. If I have any gripes concerning the Mini 6 is that the base storage is still 64GB while the 13 Mini is 128GB… Also, like you, my casual content consumption is on my iPad while I decided a long time ago that my phone is just that, a phone that has nice extra capabilities. Great unboxing!

Another Mark Ellis influenced purchase for me, my third. (MacBook Air and Sony XM-4s, previously) After viewing this video I ordered an iPad Mini 6 from Apple. It should arrive at the end of next month as they are backordered. I hadn't intended to buy yet another iPad this year (I bought two at the beginning of the year) but last week I accidentally dropped my iPad 8 and the screen shattered into a thousand pieces. Oops! Before the 8 I had a Mini 1 and then a Mini 2, for a total of six years of excellent performance. Your review made me realize that the Mini is best for my needs (books, general internet browsing, emails, texts) because of its compact size and portability. I particularly appreciate the light weight while holding the Mini up in front of my face while enduring hours and hours of airplane travel.

I'm using mine mainly for productivity and running my business while on the go, this is a very powerful tool, thats fun to use
