Beloved Simpsons voice retires after 35 years

The Simpsons voice actress Pamela Hayden, who voices characters such as Millhouse and Jimbo Jones, has announced she is retiring from the show after 35 years.

While it is upsetting That Palma Hayden is retiring i completely understand, The Simpsons cast are getting older and I don’t think they’ll be able to the voices forever

This show needs to be put out to pasture. They were able to sustain the loss of Russi Taylor because Grey Griffin is that good. The cast is aging; Julie Kavner's Marge voice has sounded so tired these past few seasons.

People complaining about it not being funny anymore: that's the thing about such a long running show, it's possible you're 20 years past being the target audience. You've got episodes tailored just for you you can rewatch anytime.

So now the burning question being: is Millhouse gonna get killed off or are they gonna get a new voice actor for Millhouse?


As much as I would like a new voice actor for Millhouse, I just think it won’t be the same, but then again I don’t want Millhouse to get killed off(OK maybe killed off is a bit harsh, but let’s say written off)

Thank you, Pamela Hayden, for 35 wonderful years of fantastic work. I sincerely hope they search high and low to find someone who nails those impressions flawlessly, or better yet, incorporate A.I. for all the voices (like they will for James Earl Jones) so the fans don’t have to notice those differences, however subtle.
