Maternal sexual abuse isn’t talked about enough. And when it is, it’s not taken seriously. My mother molested me for years and when I finally spoke up, I wasn’t believed. Finally, she was convicted and served 3 years. That’s it. Legal system step it up! 13 let alone 3 is NOT enough!!! My heart goes out to those girls 😢💗

So I've known Bertie and Becka for a little over 20 years now. We met when we were all older teenagers. Bertie is a helluva mom and has a fantastic and supportive husband. I honestly lost count of all of their children. Especially since she's expecting again soon. 🤣 They are loving parents and a great couple. Bertie and her husband both work very hard for their family and it shows. Bertie even has her own small business now.

Becka is one of the sweetest people you could ever meet. She is always there and willing to help anyone who needs it as much as she can. She has 5 boys who adore her and she actually just married my cousin last month. She's dedicated to her children and her passion, hair and cosmetology. She's got a real gift for hair art as is evidenced by all of her grateful, repeat clients.

Long story short, they're both doing very well and are both happy, healthy, and enjoying their lives.

I started crying when she saw her saviors. That poor woman went through so much and so many people turned a blind eye to it. Far too many people fail to protect our children, and I know because I was failed.
