The statement about the bowed wrist is absolutely true! When my wrist is not bowed, I tend to slap the ball and lose a lot of distance. I can feel it and I can hear it. You are so very correct! Also in another of your videos the pulling the right hand like starting a lawn mower made my swing and plane much more on track. Thanks for your help. You are transforming my game for the better.

This video really helped this 67 year old who still wants to maintain some distance. I always try to keep the lower body loose, the left shoulder underneath on the backswing, and avoid the tendency to flip. It also seems that your feet are slightly turned outward on this tape, which also helps me to rotate. LOVE both your golf and tennis videos ... the best!

60 yrs old. played on the Hogan tour as a plus 2. now im a 2. lost 4 to par in 20 years. distance is a giant misnomer. accuracy and chipping and putting are the way to keep scores low.

I’ve never played golf in my life, I went with my brother to his work cus I wanted to see my brother and hang out with him and show my girlfriend how much I will suck at golf... I love hitting drivers and I would always make the joke... “Speed run cus I’m impatient” or “baseball player vs golf take one” (I played baseball for half my life) and very rarely, I have hit most of my irons especially my 7 iron, wedge, the one with a U on it, at 200 yards. I was the only one on the range, so I knew I hit 200 for sure but I didn’t think much of it cus I thought everybody hits 200 and when I told my brother he had the funniest surprised face and like “holy cow, you should play golf instead of baseball” playin ball always had my heart, sorry golf. Thank you for listening to my story😂🙂

I think its more important that left arm stay straight and left hand doesn't collapse and lose grip at top of backswing. A lot of people do this with a full swing. I had this problem and have moved to a more compact swing and still have 108-112 driver speed, but hit a lot more consistently and solid. My old full 'loose' swing was 112-120 mph but I sprayed the ball.

Years ago, my brother could hit a 45* 9-iron 150m (164 yds), but it was a very low hook ... the only shape shot he could hit!

The "short, compact swing" with his 8 iron is still 20 yards further than my average 8 iron.

Depends alot on weather. I live wash state, you can't make your 8 iron go any further basically. But on top tracer I can hit one 210 yards .

I believe Every body performs differently, I have a friend who we tried to convince him to go pro, he wins a ton holds course records...
And kills the ball, all with a short swing.
He has been told to go longer with the swing, but I don’t thing he could be longer. Good golfers are sensitive to messing up what is good already almost superstitious.

I believe Dustin Johnson turns the wrist but does it by the top of the back swing. The bow in his left wrist has been discussed a lot.

When you are short with an 8 iron, use the 7, short with the 2, use a wood. Accuracy and distance control. I'd like to see him hit 10 balls with the same club and have them all land within 5 yards. Any club will do.
