I didn't have any plans to head out anywhere this weekend initially, and the gloomy weather this Sunday seemed to encourage me to stay in the house. That changed when I learned that Norfolk Southern H-70 would be going on duty at 11AM and making its run up to Campbell Hall and back in daylight. I knew from past experiences that it typically takes a few hours for H-70 to depart from the Croxton Yard after going on duty, so I waited until after 12 to head over to Rutherford to try seeing it. I didn't have to wait too long until Train 75 came in to make its stop, and H-70 appeared in the distance less than 15 minutes later.

1: Train 75 arrives with F40PH-3C 4914 leading the way. Cab Car 6711 is trailing. Notice that the WCH bell at the Park Avenue crossing has died.
2: Norfolk Southern H-70 glides across Park Avenue and through the station with ES44DC 7504, Canadian Pacific ES44AC 8830, GP38-2 5610, and GP38-2 5616 on the point, pulling 48 cars.

Nice catch! We heard that one going by around 2 pm. How did you learn that Norfolk Southern H-70 was going down the Main/Bergen line today?
