Mike Shinoda Teases Big Plans Amid Linkin Park Reunion Rumors

Mike Shinoda gave fans a recent update to fans and revealed there are so many exciting things ahead. Rumors about a Linkin Park reunion have been increasing in recent months.

I can't believe it's been 7 years. I will go to my grave regretting never being able to see Chester live in concert. But that will never stop me seeing LP should they ever tour again!

I saw Linkin Park in Nashville in 2016. He was gone like my brother, and it hit me hard. It will be 20 years in September since my brother completed suicide. We had music in common. I asked for his cd case, and Linkin Park helped me through many hard days. I do believe there is more to the story for him and Chris. I'm praying for all who love them and miss them.

Whatever the upcoming suprises are from Mike and the band, we just gotta be thankful that they're still with us and willing to give more to us fans...considering they could've called it quits a long time ago and retired for good. Can't wait for what's to come in the future...and RIP Chester. 🙏🏻

I think there is some misunderstanding here. Mike did not mention the band. He was probably referring to himself. It will be 20th anniversary of Fort Minor's The Rising Tied album too. Fort Minor is Mike's own project where he collaborates with other artists(mainly rappers). Once on a podcast he was asked if he had any future plans for fort minor and he said yes. So this could be that. Just speculating...

Just a couple of hours ago I got back from playing at 1000 lights, this was 1000 musicians coming together to play 2 Linkin Park songs and it was unreal. We raised £130, 000 for a mental health organisation, all in honour of Chester. We miss you so much Chester, and I hope you heard us from the heavens tonight. We were playing to you❤❤

Chester's death is still a shock ..to this day, and as the years followed, listening to their music and that voice, it never gets old how talented he and the band was and still is.. bless you Chester. You are still a force to keep being strong and rise from hardships.. to see a Linkin park reunion, would be something that would, that could... are there any words for how epic that would be? People need to let go of things and move on. That's life. Why not start another band? We miss Chester and have somebody else replace him doesn't seem right. He was the soul of Linkin Park so let us remember him this way.

Mike has made it clear in many interviews since last year that he’s getting into doing his own material again, after doing stuff for others. I also cant imagine LP doing anything unless Rob & Joe are also involved.

LP is my favorite band and I flew in for the Hollywood Bowl show, so they're obviously very close to my heart. And I'm all in for them to move forward with a female singer. I think that's the best way to approach it, you can't have a guy because I think the comparisons will never end (like with Three Days Grace), but with a female vocalist it is up front trying to be different. And I love male/female vocals mixing in songs. With Mike singing more and more, I'd really look forward to those combinations in new music.

Mike didn’t say “we” he said “I” in his statement… I don’t think it has anything to do with LP. I’m thinking it’s more solo stuff, an extension of his works.

The fact that Shinoda hasn’t denied Jay Gordon’s statement or anything related to getting a new singer speaks high volume.

Also wouldn’t be surprised if one of the news Mike Shinoda has is releasing the Funko Pop for Meteora because I been waiting on that for a while now.

I'm really interested to see what the band releases about all this in the future. I'll always follow the band. I believe they wouldn't destroy their legacy unless they believed us as fans need to become together on behalf of Chester. And once again sing the lyrics of one of the greatest rock bands in human history.
