Deputy Peery was a stand up guy. I think he would have been honored by this tribute.

Hearing the Last Post, is something I have a palpable reaction to. It’s played here in Australia on ANZAC day which is similar to your Memorial Day. It starts with a dawn service that is very solemn and veterans of every conflict who are still with us. Then there is a parade with the Vets in every little town in Australia. Also Remembrance Day is also a big day with a moment of silence at 11:00am on the 11/11 every year. May God bless Deputy Andrew Peery his family and his brothers and sisters that have served with him either in the theatre of War or the El Paso Sheriffs Department. Lest We Forget
