I'm building a rather complicated plumbing system for an indoor pond and I have found that I can't stick to one type of material (much to my dismay because I would prefer a uniform look) I was about to use both primers with the transition glue because that's what the salesman at Home Depot told me to do.

Does the PVC primer have to be wet or can it be dry?

I bought the same brand for white pvc abd that claims to work for both. also thought your supposed to use a "transition coupling" to join one to the other?
