I never expected to say this but this movie actually seems awesome. And I'm saying this as a hardcore GITS fan. <3

The visuals look crazy, I know most people are mad of the whitewashing, but come on think about it they did this to bring in more audience. Like most of the people that I work with aren't familiar or dont know anything of GITS and their main reason for watching the movie is because Scarlett Johansson is in it and if it was a asian actress that people aren't familiar with most people will pass on the movie and might not make enough money at the box office to make a sequel. We dont even know if the movie is going to be horrible, good or great yet, just go in with a open mind and give it a chance. Coming from a huge anime and GITS fan.

As a big fan and sceptic about the movie, I have to say section 9 looks on point, casting was pretty great. The only one I'm worried about is Aramaki, he was never this overly strict "patriarch", yes he's the chief, but he always had friendly connection with the rest of section 9. It seems they will associate him with the bad guys, which is a let down since he's a likeable character in the rest of the franchise.

I love how everytime scenes are uploaded they are looking better and better everytime, overall awesome actors, cinematography on point, I hope the full thing actually has success cause it looks like it was a hard work.
and yes there are still people complaining about the race of the main character that is a full body cyborg with prosthetics and a human brain, what the fuck.

Just had access to the plot and key scenes and source material they used. Wow. They delivered. They. Took some liberties and changes which was said all along. It was a vision, not a copy. All I can say it's better than I thought. They explained why Major isn't called Motoko Kusanagi. Her name is Major Mira Killian. If you are wondering why, they explain in the movie. I don't want to spoil. Just believe the hype. Also, we don't have Paz, but a new character called Ladryia, which is a brand new character of section 9 and according to them, made the cast more "worldy" and multicultural. She is a type of Stealth player for section 9. The homage from the 1995-'s movie and Innocence movie isn't done. They have some scenes that will please us fans. The philosophical part which is what makes Ghost in the Shell is there as well, as the Major quest for identity. Who am I? Why am I here? A duality and conflict present that will define her as she digs deeper into the story. I'm so pleased with what they did. Can't wait to see the full film.

I have no problem of Major being white. But looking at Batou with bare eyes... hopefully this won't be too bad.

They say white washing. I get more of a multicultral vibe. Like if Tokyo became more like a london or toronto in the future, which is possible because of the low japanese birthrate. Immigration would be the way forward.

Im really excited for this film more and more. Im a huge GITS fan. So March 31st couldnt come quickly enough. I only wish it was rated R.
