No joke
50 days survived. Played consertavtively, built up a massive hoard of food, guns, ammo, everything, from the place
finally decided to leave the local area, get in a car and drive slightly faster than zombies while unloading buckshot into them.
one survives a face full of buckshot and bites me through 32% bite resistance.

game ended.

and that was my first injury from a zombie too

I swear, getting a pair of leather gloves and some neck protection is TOO IMPORTANT

i kinda wish that with high enough sewing skill and like a readable magazine you could craft some of your own protective gear. like there's no reason you shouldn't be able to find leather work gloves that you can use for protection anyway, I literally have a pair in my car and like 5 extra pairs at home for yardwork irl. just gotta have the rng gods on your side i guess.

was it just me that when I saw him load the shotgun the rifle and swing the axe be like: "Aight good practice, now put them back"

Keen hearing will help keep zombies from "appearing" like that and of course just listening for them. This is the only game impossible to play with the sound down or music playing over it. I bet that zombie could be heard from indoors. Not that this doesn't happen to me way too often 😆.

The first time I got bitten I decided it's not worth it. I drunk bleach, walked along shore and at some point I died. It was a good die for dying.

Yeah that’s pretty true. Wish there was some system to partially recover experience lost when you find and kill your old characters zombie. The xp grind is brutal after losing a character you’ve had going for a month or more…

This happens to me every single time I spend the first 7 days watching the TV shows. Also getting bit on the hand is how I've been dying lately, I burn through gloves like you wouldn't believe, never used to be this bad tbh.

Makes me think PZ should add the option to amputate limbs.

I've got a killer base out in Rosewood rn. 28 days, no injuries. I blocked off the gated community with cars (zombies can still crawl under them) and I made a wall to block off my house. Also in full swat gear.

This is going to hurt even more when NPCs are added. Founding a group, forming relations with those in the group and getting really attached, building up and fortifying a settlement... Only to get bitten by some rando zombie while out scavenging.
You haven't just lost all your loot, tons of XP and a base you've become fond of... You've lost your friends. :(
EDIT: The roadmap for build 42-48 for Project Zomboid is OUT! Go check it out!

Yo my story is that i made it trough almost 2 months surviving 5 scratches and lacerations. I broke my legs few times, accidentaly fell into the campfire and i beat small horde of 20 zombies at 1 go and at the end thing that killed me was expired food ; -;

I've got a tip for alot of you guys, scout out the area before you fight and walk (backwards while fighting) back the way you came from. If you walk (again backwards while fighting) the way you were exploring you are a very easy target for zombies that you had no chance of seeing.

I survived hell, explored and looted everywhere, but died on a house next to me bc suddenly 5 more zombies appeared in one of the rooms when i was trying to sneak one

Every fucking time. Playing on trasmission: off is the only way to enjoy combat in Zomboid.
