not all of the screenshots are even from the Cozy Life demo thing. there is a fairly clear difference in some of the screenshots. i think they stole half of their screenshots from Cozy Life, then stuffed "animal crossing new horizons screenshot" into an AI generator and plopped those in too.

Don't forget that on the PSN it's called Anime Life Sim but on Steam it's just "Cozy" and the banner art says "Cozy Town". They're trying to sell the same thing under two different names.

5:10 The worst offenders in this regard are clearly the Unpacking Wannabe Scams. Especially given the Developers of Unpacking reported them for over a week to no avail before venting their frustration online.

This is so funny. I didn't even think it would be lawsuit-worthy until I saw the gameplay and that's eerily IP-reminiscent of Animal Crossing. I also think it's hilarious that it's straight-up an asset flip. Thanks for digging into it!

For me, what all the “clones” of Animal Crossing have failed to match is Nintendo's level of polish and charm. Animations, gameplay, visuals, aesthetics, ambience, sound effects, music, responsive controls, it's surprising how much I can notice the lack of the finest details in other games, Animal Crossing really spoiled me in that regard.

I don't want to say that it's a perfect game, far from it, but it shows how the bar is set very high when games try to copy the Animal Crossing formula.

You guys or someone should start highlighting all this zero effort trash on the eShop, PSN and XBL. Steam may be a lost cause, but maybe the consoles would start watching a bit closer.

I just want to tell that dev that if they are truly going to keep going with that game, they need to either change the name or actually make an anime life game. When I hear anime and animal companions, I expect bunny girls, cat girls, etc. not Animal Crossing

Oh these guys are screwed, this isn't like palworld infringing on Nintendo's copyright,
this is straight up copying so so many things that animal crossing has, and plus to make things worse, animal crossing has now became Nintendo's second or third highest grossing franchise as a late. These guys WANT to get sued!!😮

To the developers of this game, I highly recommend you cancel this game before Nintendo cancels your bank account for the rest of your lives😮😮😮

It's not even an asset flip. It's a plagiarization of an asset flip using stolen AI "Art". The so called "Maker" of Anime Life Sim couldn't even steal something properly. That's double lazy.

I wonder why those people who stole the Cozy Life game template and tried to pass it off as a full game added a few AI generated images alongside the ones of the actual “game”. It makes it so much less believable and looks nothing like the other screenshots haha.
These rip-off games with AI art are awful and are probably doing damage to the original products and tricking unknowing consumers, but I can’t help but enjoy watching this kinda stuff unfold XD
