pro tip— if you actually want to get business casual clothes for cheap get a coupon and go to new york and company. they have clothes that are SUCH better quality and actually are appropriate for the workplace. they aren’t too expensive for work clothes and have plus size options.

As someone who's been in the design industry for 12+ years and wears a lot of artsy businesses casual the choices those girls made just made me cringe. Any professional company with a good reputation will send them back home to change. Your entire midsection on display, a skirt that short, and wrinkled fabrics that are better suited for the beach are not acceptable in most companies. You're going to work, not making a fashion statement.

I was in FBLA for 4 years in high school, business casual would be different every year so, the ideas of Business Casual has changed alot over the years. I feel like every style of clothing can be converted into a "business" outfit, you just have to see if it follows the company's rules :)

A little advice from an HR professional, look to the culture, dress code and dress style of the environment. Buzzfeed is creative so you could wear some of these pieces, but for a corporate environment, most of these items are not acceptable. Be aware of your brand.
