For those asking "why not the anchor" if you just stayed tied to an anchor and keep using it you don't get the +22% damage bonus for summoning a Karakuri from Slight of Hand Fury that you get when pulling out a new glider to detonate which of course is massively worse.

Past that on a personal level I find the glider much easier to control and aim with and prefer the fusion options I get not using it.

Even though I may not use this exact build since I like the celestial anchor too much, I still really appreciate the insights into build thoughts and will definitely be taking inspiration from this. Thank you!

Yep. Looked at numbers. Human path - quality of life. Kem path - more damage and also resurrection stance for the deeply volatile. Though with a bow. You really dont need it as the deeply volatiles dont run. Meaning, you can find a perch to kite them to and sit on top of a perch they cant hit you from and lay into them with the big stinky cheese. Only deeply volatile that didnt have a real perch was the spectral tombtail. But hes not too bad of a fight especially with a group. Stalker, grimquill, and grazecomb deep volatiles all have area bow users can sit on to cheese them. Annoying one is the grimquill bc he likes to reset on the other side of the map. So just have any melee users try to fight him by the cliff. I usually will sit on a cliff spam arrows, jump down or put a celestial shield down and then throw down the healing vaporizer . Essentially playing a high dps/healer/support build during these fights to help melee users stay alive while also dealing massive damage.

But yes people, desperation will net you more damage at the cost of less defense. Only real benefit of human path is getting a small and i do mean “small” chunk of health when using the karakuri remedy skill. Then the verve is also conditional on full health but not as bad bc like he said most the time youre filling up to full. But therr are times i have a small little bit left on a large full belly mealed health bar that im not going to waste a health thing on or karakuri to fill up for my full damage potential as that karakuri could be used to do more damage. Another benefit is the celestial thread he talks about or whatver that perk is called to lvl 2 human. He claims its the best perk which is his opinion. I dont think it is especially with a bow when youre constantly proc’ing hay arrows which net you like 10 thread if not more when they explode. Yes its nice to have but 1 every 10 seconds? Useful but not enough to miss out on an extra 40 damage per haya arrow exploding and not to mention if you bolster twice youll hit them for over 150 more damage if not more than what the above build will hit for. I bet if he bolsters twice hed get around 1200 damage. Build i got will hit for 1390. That damage stacks up in a fight with volatiles and deep volatiles. My getting 1 thread back every 10 seconds isnt that beneficial to me as im able to get off the explosive arrow combo consistently to get my thread back or find it close by if im that desperate. Either way youre taking that time to get your damage back or wasting materials to get it back versus desperation where youd always have that boost at the cost of defense which tbh isnt bad. I dont get hit that often. Even when im playing on the ground and have the monsters attention. In a group its even easier as i dont even have to worry about attacking.

But solo is a different gameplay style. Youll use the glider method much more than bolstering twice in otoya stance. But thats why i say speed arrow is very underrated. One bolster in haya stance is best for solo. Speed arrow allows you to fire a good amount of more arrows in the first bolster and i think it even by accident increases distance. I redid my bow and took speed arrow off and fought celestial dragon. On the previous bow, speed arrow was shooting more and it was hitting the dragon for 18-20 something while the dragon was flying high. Then when i switched my bow and took speed arrow off, the arrows bolsted once in haya stance were only hitting for 1’s and even on the weak parts of the dragon. So i think by accident it might increase distance at which arrow are effective . At least in that stance. Ill probably redo this bow for: desperation, one stroke fury, nocking marvel 40%/destruction art 15%, speed arrow. Speed arrow is also much better at breaking specific parts other than a big tail or big head. Highlights the breakable parts whn in first haya stance as well. Food for thought for bow lovers.

will honestly say this is a good human version that actually uses the loop resets. compared to the kemono deeply vio version which is heavy bolstering, good job rage :)

What dictates making arrows stick in the monster? I have noticed huge inconsistencies here and I don't if it's them not sticking or them not showing, making it a purely visual bug.

And this is what I was waiting for! LOVED the bow after trying it, now my main. This will give me a good set to get started with while I take in the...massive amount of options in the weapon tree to play around with.

It says we dont have to take such a complicated path so what path is best for all the skills needed?

Between this and the staff, I couldn't decide... But you've helped me see the light! As someone who has not much time to play because of family and work, faster hunts would benefit me most. So, thank you!

I have one slight issue with this build and it's called "Celestial Breath" because in my eyes it's a little bit pointless on bow.

Every time you detonate your sticky arrows you gain incedible amounts of threads back in your pocket.
So unless you have a major fuck up, you shouldn't run out of karakuris even without "Celestial Breath".
My major usage in multiplayer with bow is: Fusion Karakuri -> Salvo -> Detonate -> Fusion Karakuri -> rinse and repeat (while almost never running out of threads even without celestial)

On the other hand....I really don't know what other gloves to use :D

But other than that very nice video and build :) Thx Josh and Team

Love claw blade, but think it is the first game that the bow became my main gun

This may be a dumb question, but how do you roll during a volley? I swear I'm hitting the dodge button and it's not happening.

So same set as the staff, neat! I'm assuming this set will be used for most sets considering how important stamina is?

Nice, was looking at making a bow, any katana builds?

Nice vid man, i personally like the anchor rather then the glider. It more versatile also can use for quick dodge n fix my aiming when the kemono start moving around. Is it any min-max that u suggestion with this build using for the anchor?

Why not use the Emberplume bow as the final one, since it has better inherent skills and higher base damage?
