Can I do this with a piece of armor or an elytra instead of a carved pumpkin? I'm trying to attach some wings to my back. I got them working with the pumpkin but obviously it looks silly when they move with my head. What should the json look like?

Great tutorial, thanks man! But something confused me a bit. What exactly does the file that you uploaded to the server do? I mean, is that a template for the server to read everybody's custom data, or is that a specific pack that only does its own job? In other words do all other members of the server have to go through this whole uploading process when they want to use their own custom pack? (For example does Scar have to throw all the link and stuff to Xisuma when he wants to use the big hat on the server, and does tango have to do the same when he's using the tree) Because obviously not everybody is a server admin so...

This may be a stupid question, but: Do you need to put the default textures in there too? Some people who play on my server might use their own resource pack, and I was hoping they could just load this above their other resource packs.

So, i used the exact same process as the video said, for a netherite sword, i made the model my self to look like a cooler sword, but, when i go to the game, i get no errors, no nothing, even the model dont update when i set it to 1, i tried adding a "model/test_sword" which had no model, just to test if it becomes purple and black, it doesnt, so it makes me believe that its not possible to make it for swords nor any other handheld items in 1.19+ i havent tried in other version bc i dont wish to play in those, the carved pumpkin is the only one that works correctly, btw yes it is not "item/generated" its "item/handheld" on the netherite_sword.json file
