NATO must be prepared for 'failure' of Ukraine-Russia dialogue, says Stoltenberg

Representatives from Moscow will be in Brussels on Wednesday to discuss the situation in Ukraine at the NATO-Russia Council.

NATO insisting itself Eastward is the "failure" in accordance with the title of this video, their unwillingness to back off and continue in it's insistence is a sure fire way of ensuring Russia will at very least remain in a defensive posture, or potentially be forced to take preemptive measures offensively to preserve their national interests...!!!

The issue has little to do with Ukraine but more to do with NATO moving its Guns closer to Russia. Reinstate nukes in Cuba and we will all see that the US won't tolerate it just as they did in the past so why should Russia allow the same thing to happen such a short distance away from them.

Russia's GDP(PPP) is the 6th largest in the world, not far behind that of Germany. Any meaningful sanctions would mean certain death of EU economy, so it simply won’t happen. China and Russia are far more important for EU economy than US. Unilateral US sanctions will be completely ineffective. There are no trade relations to speak of between US and Russia. Russia is the only country in the world that can obliterate the US. NATO military infrastructure near its borders is as acceptable to Russia as Russian nuclear missiles in Cuba to the US. It's not about Ukraine at all (with its ruined economy it's not an asset, but a liability). Russians aren't going to trifle with their national security. The time when they tried to reason with the US is over. These are basic facts. People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

It is without doubt, that both Americans and Russians love each other; "except each other ideology." The question is how can any nation dictate with whom another nation should align themselves with. Example: Turkey is a member of NATO and even though America- the other European union nations resented Russia selling the S 400 to Turkey; yet, Russia went ahead and gladly sold to Turkey, knowing fully that such an action would pose a danger to America and the European union.
Real negotiations must be truthful with respect to each other concerns.
No nation can expect to eat their cake and still have it. Double standard in human relations never worked...do unto others as you would have to do unto you.
