Middle East ‘closer than ever’ to regional war, says former US State Department diplomat

The threat of a widening war in the Middle East is intensifying, as Iran and its allies ready their response to high-profile killings blamed on Israel. Aaron Miller, senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and former US State Department Middle East negotiator, believes the region is nearing an escalation that could easily spiral out of control.

Mr Aaron could have mentioned that the US could stop this immediately by not unconditionally providing weapons to its aircraft carrier albatross, by not providing intelligence and diplomatic cover.
PS The Druze community in the annexed northern Golan still maintains that it was an Iron Dome interceptor that killed the 12 children (and not a Hezbollah rocket).
