The Grand Master of the Knights Panther, Harald Gemunsen has returned! He's not just back, he's also fancy as hell and ready to fight the enemies of the Empire just like he did when her smaller and not as detailed.

Ecologist here, yes panthers can be dark brown to black, white, or beige. However, they don't have spots! So the old world panthers must be a different species to the ones on earth. Or, they have misidentified a jaguar which is more likely I think.

The pose is from John Blanches knights Panther artwork

Its rather interesting that the two characters are both fairly heavily alligned with specific States within the Empire, but none of the three Pretenders for the Throne.

Harald & Hans are both amazing tho

All big cats are part of the Genus Panthera

“Panther” is the term usually used to define a leopard or more rarely a jaguar, that has a black coat. Also, if you check the spots are actually still there although more difficult to discern

This is a direct translation of an old (and amazing) John Blanche painting…

Looks good, although it took about 20 seconds of scanning for me to figure out that the cat head wasn't the guy's head.

I don't normally collect AoS or fantasy in general, but for this I think I'll make an exception- what a cool mini!

Love the model. The problem I have with it is how the knights panther were actually staunch Ulrican supporters and this Grandmaster has been portrayed as a full Sigmarite instead (in Middenheim during the age of 3 Emperors?)

From the thumbnail i thought that knight panther was a beastman. I thought the cat was its actual head and the golden hat was its arm holding a blue feather hat...

Man, imagine if all of the Old world were sculped to this kind of Standard...

Insert Pulp Fiction looking around meme, as I wait for Kirioth to look at the new named character for Empire.
With how long it took him to do the Blood Bowl Gnomes, I guessing middle of 2025. 🤣😂😉
Edit: I could be wrong, but Harald Gemunsen _IS_ a new named character. Remember, The Old World is set around /during the Age of Three Emperors. So this guy would be a different character to the Fantasy Battle version. Besides, I don't think The Grand Master of the Knights Panther in Fantasy Battle was a named character in game.
The only named Grand Master, was Kurt .

I can't get past the helmet reminding me of an Arbites helmet. I really wanna get one of these and convert him with an Imperial Eagle and paint him black

Took me a second to find the head of the model. Very busy

This guy is *almost* as cool as the Brettonian Lord On Pegasus. That means he's cool AF

Lions, tigers, jaguars, leopards and snow leopards are all panthers.

Old world range is peak when they actually put the slightest effort into it.

Man that is such an insanely nice glowup of the classic model. It also reminds me how odd it is that Total Warhammer still haven't including the Knights Panther or the Knights of the White Wolf which to me were the other two of the original big three, and yet they've added a bunch of the more minor orders.

Have you looked at General Hans von Löwenhacke yet?

I mean if you want fancy knights you can't go wrong with signum games' oronox.
