The mini-documentary about the Flagship Dolce Gusto Neo marks the closing of a cycle of innovation and sustainability, in an architecture produced with the aid of 3D printing on biodegradable materials.

This project by Estudio Guto Requena presents alternatives to the use of concrete for more sustainable and decarbonized constructions. The coffee flower inspired the Flagship’s architecture, and at the end of its 1-year use cycle, it was dismantled. Its wood structure was recycled, and its dome composed of biomaterials was crushed and used as agricultural fertilizer.

This project is an example of cycles designed for regeneration, inspired by the ancestral consciousness and the use of digital technologies of our times. This project is an invitation to reflect on possible futures that we need to design in the face of the current climate emergency. The project is also a reflection on the urgent alternatives that civil construction needs to offer so that we no longer use non-renewable and highly polluting materials such as concrete and steel.
