Yes I had one age spot on my forehead removed with cryotherapy by a board certified dermatologist and it left a white indented scar. About 10 years later my GP wanted to use cryotherapy to remove another one off my face. I showed him the scar on my forehead and he said what Dr Dray said and promised it wouldn't happen with him. I told him I would let him take one off my arm to see if I could trust him. I got a white indented scar again. Ladies, whoever does this has to have a super fine touch and it doesn't matter if they are a dermatologist. I am fair. No health problems. This scar on my forehead pisses me off every time i look at it because it's way worse than the age spot. Be careful!!

I had a skin check at my Dermatologist the first week of April. I had a place on my shoulder removed but thankfully the pathology report was benign. The Doctor was very happy with the condition of my skin. I'm 65 with no age spots. I do wear a good moisturizing sunscreen daily.

I have some small ones on my face and hate them! I wish I knew the importance of sunscreen as a younger person. (35). My mom already had skin cancer 2 times too.

I took some of those teeth whitening strips that contain hydrogen peroxide, cut out tiny squares, licked them, and applied them to the facial age spots. I repeated this until the age spots were completely gone. So it only cost me pennies. I also had Psoriasis on my right arm that had been there for decades. I figured out a way to get rid of that as well. I also had a wart on my upper eye lid on my right eye lid. It took two years, but that too is now completely gone. That required a combination of alternating between applying to it hand sterilizer, that of course contains alcoholic, and carefully applying clear nail polish. Warts are some what a perforated skin, and thus they absorbed the nail polish and thus allow the nail polish to kill the wart. That final day when I finally was able to just peel the dead wart off, was a very happy day.

I've been accumulating age spots for a long time. Since I've used topical retinoids, hats, clothing and sunscreen religiously, I'm trying to accept the permanency of these spots and your video helped.

I started getting brown spots after I became surgical menopausal in my late 40s and i was a sun worshiper since my 20s. Could you do a video on skin changes once menopausal? TIA.

Hello from Crete island Greece! You are precious to me! In my 53 having a grandson now, I have much better skin than 5 years ago! Your advises are so helpful and you are such an easy flowing fellow, sincere, clear and precise that I do enjoy all of your videos! Believe it or not, I have used tones of sunscreen in my life, and this -even for the simple reason that I liked that and my mother got me used to that first Nivea cream {before even spf) and I feel glad I did so! So I couldn't love more your greeting @Sunscreen & subscribe! [ Avene is my sun God! and I live in the island of the everlasting summer!]
Keep strong and as positive as we all get to Know you girl!!!! Love from Mediterranean! Keep inspiring us!!!!

Sunscreen is definitely essential. Years ago I had what I thought was an age spot on the inside of my lower leg. I kept an eye on it for years. On a Dr Appt he said it appeared to be getting darker and it had tiny red spots in it. Excision revealed a stage 1 melanoma. It was never raised or really looked like a melanoma. So now I always tell people that if in doubt, check it out. It’s not always going to look like the pics you see on posters.

Yes, yes, yes! My father has had many spots on his face and forearms frozen and cut out. It’s not always easy to heal from that if the other skin isn’t healthy. Makes me a sunscreen fanatic!

Healing from cryotherapy takes around 7-10 days. I’ve had this done several times. You must keep them covered with Aquaphor.

One tip is when you are applying sunscreen, apply to the top of your hand 🤚 for applying sunscreen to your face, when done apply more to the hand and rub in

for those with melanin in the skin - be very careful. unlike hyperpigmentation, HYPOpigmentation tends to be more or less permanent
