The Anne with an e ending was left as it was because that is the most historically accurate reality for many Indigenous people forced into residential schools. One of the most horrific realities of racism in Canada. The last one only closed down in 1996.

One of Canada's great shames is the boarding schools for natives. It was left ambiguous on purpose because the system was rife with abuse. It was a crime against humanity.

The doubt over Stanley's mustache is brilliant

A.) can you use chapters?
B.) Stanley DEFINITELY has a mustache. That’s not an unanswered question.

Thank you for giving the Kara Thrace plot point some love. Best mystery of that show. 😊

The Stanley's mustache bit is so good. Because you always second guess yourself when it comes up, no matter how many nine million minutes of Office you've watched, yet by the next time ou see Stanley, you've forgotten the question and never find think about it. And it's something so real, like when you're asked what your friend works as or if your mother's earlobes are attached or not and you don't know the answer!

One of the reasons why I can't except the Buffy is in a mental institution is because Angel exist. How is he supposed to know what's going on in his spin-off.

I am glad to see The Expanse on here. Keep in mind that the show didn't cover all of the books - there's a time jump of 30 years or so. I read the books and if you want some spoilers...

The Martian deserters create a totalitarian, super advanced society and come to the Solar System and start a conquest war against everyone. They are mostly successful but the "entities" keep banishing ships that go thru the gates (all of them) and entering our dimension and mostly stop time and make people see the memories of others. Duarte (the fuhrer) gets infected and gains superpowers and wants to turn humanity into a hive (such a common sci fi trope...).

The heroes win in the end but at the cost of shutting down the gate system forever, leaving all systems to handle themselves (until the short but nice epilogue). Sadly, not much is explained about the unseen hostiles. My guess is that they are getting hurt after the use of gates and are actually defending themselves. So it's kinda a bittersweet ending. Like preventing global termination but at the cost of the internet, can you imagine?

Anyway, here's hoping for 3 or 4 more seasons. I am open for corrections on my rather crude synopsis.

Nikki Potnik. Charlie says it once in an early episode in reference to borrowing her car and then in high school reunion frank steals her name tag.

The Buffy ending always confused me. Similar plots have shown up in various TV shows, but none ended on the protagonist still in the mental facility like Buffy did. I'm still shocked they did that.

there's questions about starbuck? i mean the reboot doesn't spell it out, but if you have any knowledge of the original series, she's clearly a seraph using her likeness after she dies (as are baltar's visions of six, caprica six's visions of baltar, as well as a handful of other characters).

also buffy's dad is not dead in the main continuity (at least in season 6, maybe they killed him in the comics), he's off galivanting around europe. he's referenced in so few episodes and appears in even less that it's easy to forget he exists though.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Implied very heavily that the waitress's name is Nikki Potnick in the reunion episode.

Starbuck is Starbuck. Returned to life (and her viper) to lead her people to the Promised Land. She’s Jesus and Moses in one. When her mission is over, she’s called home

As for Head Baltar and Six…..literal angels.
That’s not even up for debate.

Well….Six is. One could argue Head Baltar works for the other guy…but I think it’s simpler to say he’s an angel.

Starbuck was the harbinger of death. It's revealed in one of the movies

I can't believe nobody brought up Tony Soprano. That was the most annoying ending ever. I know there was supposed to be a movie to ultimately wrap everything up but then James Gandolfini died and the ending died with him. Damn shame
