Jesus Saves & Baptism Saves Are the Same Statement. No Contradictions in the Bible

Jesus saves and 1 Peter 3:20-21 “baptism now saves you,” are the same statement. There are NO contradictions in the Bible. God delivers grace in many ways. By means of His word wedded with physical things. Salvation is based on God’s Work. Not ours. Baptism is God’s work. #HeBaptizesUs

Amen! That is such an important point! And so true. The Bible is perfect and in total harmony. The problem is with us humans. And we need to trust the bible try to hold to the faith "once given to the saints". And just like you said reconcile the passages. Its such a blessing that we have the creeds and teachings of older christians to help and guide us

Thank you for clarifying the importance of baptism, but more importantly, we must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins according to Acts 2:38. Apostle Peter obeyed what Jesus said in Matthew 28:19, no contradiction. When we use the name Jesus, say the name Jesus, and apply the name Jesus, we have the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost because JESUS is the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

Not really going to argue what baptism is here, when I don’t really fully understand. But the fact is that baptism is commanded by God. And a refusal to be baptized should be equated to refusal to follow Christ. Entering the kingdom is at the very least closely associated with baptism. Even if it isn’t directly a part of it.

If it wasn't important Jesus wouldn't have done it. That's how I see it. Jesus was a sinless man, yet he performed that act. So it obviously symbolizes something. I don't see what the big deal is. Even if it weren't important, what harm is there in doing it. It's an act to show that you have baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. The same way receiving the communion is also an act, yet no one discusses that and says on I'm good I got the holy spirit so I don't need the body and blood of Jesus Christ.

Baptism is symbol just like it was when Jesus was baptized. Salvation is by the grace of Christ alone. If you add these other things to salvation you are adding human works. And the Bible clearly says Salvation is not of works lest any man should boast.
