Hey Guys, you can fix NAND issues but it's an extremely complex repair and not something I offer. usually costs more than the actual phone itself. When I said you can't restore the phone I meant on iTunes ( nand issues usually give specific errors) . Sorry if this was misunderstood.

This can happen to pretty much any iPhone- although it's pretty rare. Making sure you don't use up your entire storage capacity is a good way to prevent this from happening.

The symbols on the back of that phone are for European countries, the CE mark means that it is a safe to use product and it’s not going to explode when you charge it and the garbage symbol is because you can’t put battery’s in the bin/trash in case it cases a fire

The CE is an European Certificate for consumer electronics. And the garbage sign is required in EU. Obviously it means that do not throw away, but EU obviously had to explain it in a symbol clearly and made a whole law making it necessary.

This is why you should always regularly back up your phone, either wirelessly to iTunes on your computer, or wirelessly to iCloud. I have my phone set to backup every other day to make sure I loose as little data as possible if I ever loose my phone.

Yes you can recover the data, but the cost is astronomical, as you need a forensic service.

FYI, that CE sign is mainly used in European countries for electronics that are safe to use for consumers. This iPhone was obviously manufactured in an European country, and as you can tell, its flash memory had died.

I've seen people swap out the NAND flash chips from phones, like when @StrangeParts made an iPhone 6 1TB

there is a way to do it. I replaced the nan of an iPhone 8 plus the other day the only problem is that, the previous data will dissapere

I applied heat to the nand with a hair dryer. Worked perfectly.

I know of no person that throws a phone away even if they get a new one. Then again there are a lot of idiots in this world who don’t put value on anything.

NAND Flash Memory can "maybe" be recovered by a Specialized Data Recovery Company. It really depends on the condition of the NAND Chip itself and you also need to be lucky that your Data is not corrupted. And yes its not gonna be cheap if you decide to try your luck.
