Where's the BEST Hotel YOU have stayed in?

We stayed here. It was amazing.

Our TV broke during our stay. Just stopped working and wouldn't start. We reported it and someone came up within 1 minute. We were sent to the bar for a free cocktail while they fixed it. When we went back to the room they had left a complimentary bottle of wine and a handwritten apology from the manager. Amazing service.

I thought after Tim took a sip of that Whisky we would get "15 minutes later" and random shots of the ceiling and floor.

I was a housekeeping manager for over 15 years experience and have to give the housekeeping 15/10. Super clean super tidy and on point. I can't say for sure but I'm super impressed. Well done house keeping

This hotel shows how nice a place can be when management and staff care about the hotel and their guests. It's impressive because they get everything people care about right. The touches they focus on to make the room and stay feel welcome and inviting, the care for cleanliness and keeping things well maintained... it's refreshing to see a place that is quality all the way through, and not just if you don't look too closely.

This is a hotel where paying for anything feels justified.

Finally some real luxury for a luxury hotel. Most don't come close to meeting the standard, but this one did.

Last year my daughter and I had Afternoon Tea at the Balmoral Hotel. Perfection, can not praise the staff enough.

I’ve never seen a hotel in any of your videos that I wanted to stay in as much as this one. Looks like bliss

My mum took me there for afternoon tea 🫖 🍾🥂for my birthday and the staff (who couldn’t do enough for you), brought desert out with a candle in it and the harpist played Happy Birthday. 🎂 It was so lovely. It’s such a beautiful hotel.

My husband and I stayed there for a full week last March and I have to say it was our favorite hotel stay ever! Those whiskey fudge squares are amazing. Such a beautiful hotel. We stayed in several Castles while in the UK after our stay at The Balmoral. While each Castle had their own beauty and elegance, the accommodations paled in comparison to our stay at the Balmoral. Also the afternoon tea there is incredible, it’s only equal we found was at the Colonnades at the Senate Library. Well worth a visit.

That is a stunning hotel. Those shelves don't have a speck of dust on them. The reason why they would specifically have a biography about the Queen Mother, was that her surname, was Bowes-Lyon (pronounces Bows Lion), the same as your room.

FINALLY, a proper hotel. This hotel is way better than the “six star” hotels in Dubai. Dubai needs to learn from cleanliness & how fresh the furniture is. that’s where they always lose points, in the deep cleaning areas.

Wow! If every room in the hotel is decorated to that standard then it's a 5* luxe hotel in my opinion. The attention to detail especially the the amazing colour co-ordination of fabrics and furnishings is outstanding.
Full marks to the lady stylist who obviously has impeccable taste and no expense was spared
I would love to see some other hotels she has decorated.
Love your vids Tim.

I treated myself to a stay in the Balmoral for one night before travelling down to Manchester by train for my brother's wedding in the early 1990s. It cost just over £100/110 for a room overlooking the courtyard and also a marble bathroom. I had an enormous salad dish in my room that evening costing only £7.50 or thereabouts as I was too shy to go down to the restaurant by myself. Superb service and the lovely thing was that the staff addressed me by name all the time. Marvellous experience for me!

A wonderful heritage hotel exuding old Scottish luxury. The interior of the room was cosy and the subtle use of greenery in the decor was soothing to the eye .

Joint owned by TV’s ‘The Hotel Inspector’ Alex Polizzi’s Mother & Uncle. They really know their stuff. I love their home from home style. A fabulously experienced family of hoteliers. 👏 Another great video Tim; it was lovely to see inside this beautiful hotel. My husband & I absolutely love Edinburgh. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🫶

We visited Scottland in '98 just about 6 months after Princess Dianas death. We traveled all through Scottland, visited many of the castles. Made our way up to Inverness. Saw Dunrobin Castle and took a tour, also swung by Balmoral Castle where people were still leaving bouquets of flowers at the gate there for the late Princess. I was so impressed by the history saved, stored and on display throughout. Loved our journey through the beautiful countryside. The people of Scottland were warm, friendly and inviting. We did take a tour of Edinburg Castle. I was in charge of the 8 MM Sony video camera but when we got home it appears I forgot to take the lens cap off during my recording. Pretty bummed about that. lol Thanks for your wonderful videos. Safe travels friend.

My ex-husband was in a Scottish regiment and had to stand guard at Edinburgh Castle. When he went to the canteen at lunchtime, he slipped on the slippery stones of the floor...fell on his back and his kilt flew up. At that moment he was the favourite photo subject. Of course, he wore his kilt the way a Scotsman wears it.😊
