Might be an unpopular opinion, but I actually love the direction they’re going with their music, they’ve always had a funky edge but since Serge took over as frontman they’ve really leaned into it, and all of the singles for this new album have hit in very different ways, for me this is the most expansive and rounded they’ve ever been, and they sound great.

This is my favourite so far from Happenings. Algorithms was alright, Call felt a bit like Serge trying to be a rapper. But this is catchy, just wish it was longer

Serge really just doesn’t have the vocal range or power in his voice to be a competent frontman. It was tolerable back when he would take the lead on like 3 songs per album or singing back up, but imo he’s exposed himself as incompetent to fill Toms shoes. Should have just disbanded and pursued his SLP stuff but the Kasabian brand is too profitable.

Great performance. Really upbeat track and sounds great live too. Serge sounds a little shaky but still sounds top!

I never thought that I would criticize Kasabian's live performance, but this day has come. I saw them perform live and thought maybe it wasn't the best day for Serge's voice, but apparently it wasn't just "the day".
The stage is sad and empty, just like the performance itself. Many years ago they were a really good band.
Shame they mistook Tom's burnout and depression for simple alcoholism. And they just treated him like an alcoholic.
They became mediocre as musicians and, as it turned out, as people too.
It just bad and sad
