I need some pointers for something I do that’s really stupid… some time ago, so long, I don’t remember when, for some reason, I started playing Emaj and Amin using fingers 2-4, as if playing a barre chord, but obviously without the barre. My chord changes are pretty slick despite this, but could be a lot better, but how the hell do I drop the bad habit and play them ‘properly’? I know the simple answer, but when playing along with something, autopilot and muscle memory make me play the wrong way; if I think about changing the way I play them, I lose my place, my timing (and my patience) 😞
