The Federal Reserve was established to help separate the middle class from their wealth. For the first 100+ years, our nation did not have inflation . . . a dollar would buy as much in 1900 as it bought in 1800. Since the Federal Reserve was established in 1913, the dollar has depreciated 97% . . . the Federal Reserve was supposedly to help stabilize the banking system.
