Prac4 - Determining Young's Modulus of Copper

This practical is one of your CPAC experiments, and so needs to be written up fully in your lab books. There is no risk assessment mentioned, and so this is very important to write one in your write-up.
We stretch a long, thin wire using a massive load. You will need to research how to read the vernier calipers that measure the extension, and how to use the micrometer to measure the diameter of the wire (this is in the video on uncertainty).

Write a really good results table with the repeat readings. Plot the graph of the Force (y-axis) & extension (x-axis) and find the gradient to get your value for Young's Modulus. Reference any reference sources used in your write-up, at the end (web URL & access dates for any websites).
