Mytee Tech Corner: How to Prime a Pump and Avoid Vapor Lock

Why not tell us what to do if we are experiencing this? I'ma be honest my mytee 8070 new out the box has been nothing but trouble I paid a bunch of money for a quality unit And I'm still trying to justify my purchase over 6 months later and I just can't .

Those of you having vapor lock problems, here is what I did to troubleshoot the problem. First turn off the machine and the switches, let it cool if it is hot. At the base of the unit where the brass quick connect goes into the machine, use a wrench at its base to unscrew it and take it off. With care, turn on the machine and the pump switch. If it sprays a stream, the problem is outside your machine in the hose/wand assembly. If it doesn't spray with the pump switch, the problem is inside the machine. If the problem is inside, warranty repair or check the pump. If the problem is outside the machine, connect the brass quick connect and the first hose. Carefully, using a tool, depress the aluminum button inside the far end of the quick connect with the pump switch on. If it sprays, the problem is further down the hose/wand. Doing this repeatedly and methodically, you should be able to isolate the problem. For me it was the spray nozzle at the end of the wand that was clogged. A nylon brush and a few blasts from an air compressor opened the spray nozzle again. Good luck.

I have the 1003HV and the pump doesn't stop running and I get no spray. I assume it isn't priming. Is there a seal kit available? Manual to take the pump out?

My solution line does not want to clip on either fittings. I've removed all the pressure from the bottom fitting connected to the extractor and still nothing. Everything works but the line does not want to clip on either fittings. Any help or advice.

Mine is currently locked and not pumping water past the heaters. Pump is running but water isn't getting to outlet. How do you push the water past the vapor? Already tried a vacuum. Didn't work.

My mytee 300h vaccum is not turning on. The switch lights up but no vaccuming everything else works.

Best way to get the most out of your electric inline heater is to preheat your water somehow. Im using a fresh water tank and a camplux propane heater then 3500w inline bam easy 200 degrees which is overkill in my opinion
