Sonia (born Sonia Evans on the 13th of February 1971) is an English pop singer from Skelmersdale in Lancashire. She is perhaps best known for her 1989 UK number one hit "You'll Never Stop Me Loving You" (which also made the Top 10 of the US dance chart) and for representing the United Kingdom in the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest, where she finished second with the song "Better the Devil You Know" (UK #15).

Her singing career was launched in 1989 by the songwriting and music producing trio Mike Stock, Matt Aitken and Pete Waterman known as Stock Aitken Waterman. She was signed to Chrysalis Records after badgering Pete Waterman to listen to her sing outside the recording studio in Liverpool. Waterman did a regular weekly radio broadcast. He called her bluff and had her sing live on his show. She released her debut single, "You'll Never Stop Me Loving You" in June 1989. It quickly became a number one single in the UK Singles Chart. At 18, she became one of the youngest female British singers to achieve this feat.

She released her debut album, Everybody Knows, in 1990, which peaked at #7. All 5 singles taken from it became top 20 hits, making Sonia the first British solo female artist to achieve this. Also in 1990, she recorded the song "You've Got A Friend" with the group Big Fun. It was released as a charity single for Childline and became a top 20 hit.

"Listen to Your Heart" is a pop-dance song written by Stock Aitken and was a hit for Sonia. The single was released in November 1989 as the album's third single. After a slow start the single reached No. 10 in UK and No. 22 in Ireland. It became Sonia's second top ten hit after her debut single "You'll Never Stop Me Loving You", which reached the top of the UK chart. "Listen to Your Heart" charted in the United Kingdom for ten weeks.

I have only once source file for this and it's a good quality Mixmash vob. I've removed the fizzy crap that was obscuring the video. Also got rid of compression noise and extra bits of garbage. Details have been enhanced and some sharpening done in the scale to HD resolution. Looks much better than the original source.

Audio was awful mono and dull as a brick. This has been replaced with a digital stereo track that has been time tweaked to fit. A few extra filters were used to give it a little sparkle. Sounds great now so turn up that volume knob.

I hope you all enjoy this video upscale. Please share the link with your friends and I hope it doesn't end up being blocked in your country.

A bit surprised there's no comments in there. I'm relieved to learn I'm not alone in doing something similar to what I do myself on music videos I happen to have. Except that you seem to go much further than I do. I have a tendency to keep the original video as is when I think it's good enough and I rarely upscale. However, I always have to replace and time tweak audio with the cleanest possible source (from Maxi CDs or singles, and sometimes edit it from a longer source too!) as it is either mono and muffled, or too bright, or way too loud (when coming from official DVDs from record companies), or with left and right channels not in phase, etc.
Frankly, keep up the good work.
