A report being considered by Toronto councillors says the redevelopment of the Ontario Place site will worsen congestion by 40% some days. The city wants further study on ways to make the area safer for pedestrians and cyclists.

of course it will. so what? we need this to help the coffers of ontario for social services. traffic is a given in toronto esp given that roads are getting thinner and thinner.

So we need to spend money on a report to tell us that jamming more people into an already overcrowded area without improving roadways or public transit will create more congestion?? This is what our tax dollars are spent on?? Really?? Our politicians from all parties and all levels are horribly incompetent

there's no skytrains, bridges, underground tunnels and can't fix potholes in roadways, imited options for public transport, anything and everything can worsen congestion. it is their lame excuses to raise taxes down the road (literally) ...
