I tried to learn the honeycomb stitch. After 3 videos and 5 attempts ripped out i gave up. Then i got your diamond pillow in my email....thinking i checked out your video. Its very close to what i want and can only comment....thats it?!!! Thats how you do it!!!!? OMG. I just ripped out my follow along square only because i cant count 😊 and need a larger square. I picked up a pattern for a beautiful boho reading shawl that uses this stitch. I was completely overwhelmed with the instructions provided by the pattern, so I'm checking your video.
She described it as a Diamond Trellis and in the pattern she calls for one of the steps to be a FPTR2TOG which from what I can see, is the stitch you call for.

I'll let you know how I fare with your instructions. Thank you very much, I wouldn't be able to learn to crochet without YouTubers like you!

[EDIT: It is now two days from when I first made my comment, and I'm on the third row after I started the trellis stitch. It would be around now that I can be certain whether I've done the stitch correctly or have to pull everything out.

I have to try this. I love working post stitches. Right now I'm hooked on the mosaic granny pattern, but may use this for my next baby blanket. It looks cuddly with all that texture.
