What Makes Doom Patrol GREAT

Honestly the "cheap" design of Cyborg and Robotman absolutely works to me cuz the show has pretty retro vibe and i love it, the synth scores weaving in & out, cyborg walking around in Adidas outfits, Robots' cyberpunky jacket, even the laboratory set design, i love that Cyborg has a Commodore 64 in his room it all adds to some of its retro aesthetics and when they do use CGI its used very tastefully imo

Brenden Frasier as Robotman and Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane are two of the best castings in a comic book show

This show is OUTRAGEOUSLY good. I wish they were able to properly finish the second season, that cliffhanger is KILLING ME. Season 3 is not coming fast enough.

Robot man is exactly what I was hoping he’d be. When I saw the first promo, his “red eye” quip kinda made me think he was going to be more cringey than funny and not really comic accurate, but his crassness and comedic timing really holds up the rest of the already great cast.

The writing and the acting. All the main actors are killing it in their parts. Brendan Fraser is hilarious with his dialog and Riley Shanahan nails it with his physical acting synch up. Shanahan's movements are pretty much what Brendan would do if he were live acting in the Robotman suit. Same with Matt Bomer & Matthew Zuk, they are completely in sync. Diane Guerrero has shown so much range with the different "faces" of Crazy Jane. And April Bowlby is showing she is so much more than Kandi from Two and half Men (even then she was hilarious in that show). Alan Tudyk, well what more can you say. The guy chews up a scene like a starving Hyena.

I've been watching these clips, and have to admit I need to just bite the bullet and subscribe for a while to watch all of these.

I haven't watched any of Doom Patrol yet, (because DC Universe isn't available in the U.K.), but they were definitely my favourite part of Titans and I'm so glad the show is getting positive receptions. Great video, Cap!

You know a show's source material is obscure when captain midnight's interstitial retro clips contain only a single mention of said material followed by complete unrelated clips featuring a different team :)

I do love that more obscure teams and characters are getting adaptions and hitting it off with audiences.

Never would I have even thought about Doom Patrol being a damn show despite liking them in the comics- but their success makes me smile

This my favorite live action DC thing ever now, and my second favorite DC media thing running ever, behind Young Justice. Plus, I'm just glad to see Cyborg getting some decent use, and Brendan Frazier making a comeback.

Finally got around to doom patrol and finished the first season and I genuinely loved it, the characters and writing were excellent for someone who had no prior knowledge of the doom patrol.

i just love conversation within characters because they feel and talk like real people, not superheros. They also are not superheros, they are "freaks" that are driven by own fears
