|What is Philosophy|
There’s a thousand ways to go over this question, but etymologically, the word “Philosophy” came from the Greek word philosophia; meaning “love of wisdom. Wisdom, we all know, is the ability to think critically and the capacity to formulate good judgment. The necessary condition to formulate good judgements is asking questions.
So deductively, philosophy is the art of asking questions. …But not just any question. Philosophy aims at asking meaningful questions such as: What is good? What is reality? What do we know? How do we know what we know? is the world just made of matter or energy, or is there something else?
Philosophers don’t just ask questions and then go to bed. We ask questions so we can grasp the nature of fundamental problems by broadening our perception of the world.
