I really like the way that tank turned out. Nice and simple...natural. Would love to find some type of a dwarf val for my 10 gallon. I have some green neon tetras that I think would look great swimming through it.

A cap of inert sand can help with algae problem. I have found that the aquarium soils tend to leach nutrients into the water column.

I like the tank! I too just rescaped my Clear Mini 6 and used the same Oase filter. No fish yet. The thermometer looks nice. I’ll have to check it out.

Great video; as always! Have you ever thought about trying a diy algea scrubber? Just a place for algea to grow with a LED light or two. This may reduce your hair algea growth significantly.

I use Seacham Flourish at double dose for about 10 days and it will clear the algae and also any blackbeard. Did it with my tank and it has never ticked along better. I just do maintainence dosing, at the lower dose rate, weekly. Great stuff!!

That scraper looks identical to the Kent one. It would be cool if Oase would actually revolutionize more products. I loved their concept with the heater integration with the canister filter but everything else just seems cookie cutter with stuff already on the market but with a new logo.
