before jiyan become general, geshu lin was the general. During outbreak, there is a rain (retroact rain) that can summon some sort of ghost or hallucination from people's memory. During that time Jiyan talked with geshu lin phantom created by those rain.

In the past similar situation happened. Threnodian called ovathrax attacking Jinzhou, there was retroact rain too. Geshu lin want to keep going because he doesn't want dead soldier sacrifice goes in vain, ignoring the risk of soldier's hallucination. He keeps fighting and disappear after that. Which later end up with high casualties because no leader. Then Jiyan appears to command the army and retreat. I think geshu lin successfully defeat ovathrax and drowned it (which later almost revived by fractidus). Jiyan become the new general after that, hailed as hero while people will remember geshu lin as bad commander.

There is also a cinematic story about geshu lin. In that animation, he clearly uses broad sword. Some of the text said, "his sword blazed with black flame". Could be fusion or havoc or 2 element character.

Geshulin will absolutely be havoc. He literally walked through the havoc flames in the Jiyan trailer, just the H Rover outro flames. Gonna get shorekeeper for sure. Then just Saving it all for the hype characters geshulin and phrolova for me.

There was a blurry leak of a character that looks like Xi Xing today (black and white clothing, white skin), said to be a 5* havoc rectifier but its in development so who knows when she'll get released since they might space out rectifier users after coastguard.

Personally i would want the hype characters to be introduced later on since the characters released are all characters appearing in the patch's story so if they do it too soon for the sake of hype, i can see how the story can get too rushed if not done properly. The one i can see happening soon is definitely camellya (since they say she's gonna be for 2.0 ish right?) just cause we are alrdy approaching the black shores storyline so at least we're eased into it then. Geshulin....it feels hard to introduce him so soon, it would have to make sense

I think its great that Kuro is doing reruns already; it gives people some time to breath in between patches because as much as we all want all the big characters (I'm coming for u Camellya my love😢) we have other characters to introduce first and have banners that can be skipped to save up. Geshulin summoned Black Flames, so it would be cool if he is Fusion, without changing the colour, it can still do fusion dmg while still being purple and black
