This shows why Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo are the main trio in Dragonball. Goku may be strong but he understood that he won't be around forever so he pushed people to be stronger too. Vegeta and Piccolo were the only 2 to fully understand that so they want to get stronger for the next threat not just Goku while everyone else is stuck on "Well we got Goku"
