I tend to use my gathering for historical-inspired projects, and am currently about to use gathering to make a fluffy Edwardian slip. This was such a lovely reminder to keep different gather types in my memory. I find gathers such a lovely thing to use to create fluffiness in a garment

Gathering is the bane of my existence. I hate having to spread the gathers out evenly, I hate pulling the thread through. I hate sewing them (except now I’ve found my zig zag yarn method so I don’t hate that part so much) but I looove the way they look so sometimes I put up with it.

Great video! I actually never gathered anything in my life so far 😅 I used to make dresses with elastic tunnel or elastic being stretched across the garment and sewn. I will definitely come back to this video when I will start sewing again!
