ABOUT ME🙋🏻‍♀️
I'm Christianne, a solo traveller, vlogger and entrepeneur from Surrey, UK. I spend half my time exploring new places around the globe with my backpack, and the other half creating videos about my experiences, what I'm packing, solo travel advice, money budgeting tips and anything else in relation to my backpacking lifestyle.

FAQ's
Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.
Do you have plans to settle down? Yes, I'm currently saving to purchase my first property in the UK and I'd love to have children one day. I doubt I'll ever live a completely 'conventional' lifestyle by society's standards though, as I often have my own preferred way of doing things.

I definitely fall into the budget category. Travelled 14 months in 5 countries (Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia) and averaged just over $500 per month for everything. Cheers!

Thailand is a great place to travel and live like a rock star for not much money. The wonderful part of how you traveled is that most of the money you spent went right to small business owners rather than huge corporations. You got to fully experience the place and have an epic time while doing it. Well done!

I love this videos. I have been traveling for 10 month now and I use your backpacking budget sheet and it’s the best. I promised myself to always be open about my finances so each day I share a template with my daily budget so people can have a sense of how much it cost to travel. I really wish they where more travelers who speak freely about this topic. When I was first dreaming with the idea of traveling the world there was not much info telling me how much it will cost, so this is really good.

That more than just showing people that “they can do it to” you show them how to

I think this is my first time commenting at one of your videos, not sure 🤔

I have been binge watching your videos over the last days and I love your personality, spirit and transparency 🥰🤩 For this video: Budgeting is a real thing, and seeing how others do it is a good preparation and good learning experience 🥰

I can actually don’t travel. I am disabled and sick, but I just love your videos and just you, and good time use to see your videos 🥰

I have even seen 6-8 year old videos, and I know you would love kids before 30 and you are getting there, and thing can still happen, but if not, that is okay too 💚 You will find your man when the time is right 😊

Love from Johanne, Norway 🇳🇴

Thanks so much for this video! I will be travelling in Thailand on my sabbatical and in my mind had budgeted £1, 500 a month and was worried that wouldn't be enough. I think we have quite a similar style of travel expect I don't dive, but also wouldn't feel comfortable driving a moped so will have to spend more on other transport I guess. But after seeing this I'm going to allocate some of my Thailand budget to my New Zealand budget which I think will be much harder to stick to. Also loved seeing your sponsor - I hadn't heard of them and that is such a useful service. Thanks!

Hi thank you so much for this video! My friend and I are planning a 1 month trip to Thailand next year and my idea for the budget (excluding flights) was about £900-1000 per person. We might not spend that much but, because it is our first backpacking trip we want to make sure we have extra in case we need it. We will be sharing twin rooms rather than hostels but hopefully it shouldn't be much more expensive as we will be going for cheaper hotels. Also we don't drink alcohol so that should save quite a bit 😅. Other videos I've seen, people seem to be spending quite a bit more so I was worried we wouldn't have enough but this was really helpful so thank you!

Watching this is making me so excited as i travel to Thailand later this month alas only for 3 weeks and not 3 months . i'm heading to Kanchanaburi to visit the death railway then 2nd and 3rd week will be spent travelling between Bangkok and Surat Thani a few days here and there just going with the flow, as long as im at Suvarnabhumi for my flight home that's my only care on the trip. So glad you enjoyed your time there this will be my 8th trip there

Koh Lipe definitely is more expensive! I even found basic groceries at 7/11 sometimes to be double the price 😕 While I was there the hostel owner once told me everything is so expensive because the island is so far South and everything has to be shipped from the mainland. Also, all electricity on the island comes from diesel generators which explains the hostels being more expensive there. Still worth it tho, one of the most beautiful islands I visited 😁

My 6 months travelling around every country in SE asia i budgeted £6k or £1k per month. I stayed in a mixture of budget hostels, homestays, private hotel rooms etc. My aim was to just do as many activities and experiences and see as much as i can and even though i did so much i actually did all of this for £5k. Big thing for me is i dont drink and i loved just eating the street food so my food cost was pretty low. For under £1k a month you can easily eat and live well doing excursions everywhere you go i se asia.

This is so helpful! We are planning on traveling Thailand again next year before moving there and haven’t been since before the pandemic, so glad to hear it’s easily done on a budget!

Nice video. For slow travelers Airbnb is often cheaper than hostals. Plus you can make your own breakfast and coffe and save. For many travelers in Thailand alcohol will be a bigger part of the budget. 5555

me and my boyfriend are going to thailand in november for a whole month. and we have booked pretty much good hotels with privacy and relatively luxurious hotels with very good reviews. the total cost of accomodation sumps up to 1300 euro.
