How to install a .pkg package file without Administrator password on macOS

This also works for bypassing a frozen installer. I had downloaded a .pkg file required by a service that I subscribe to and the installer would not get passed the intro tab. It just froze and would not even give me the option to enter the admin password. I used your method to manually extract and install the software and it worked perfectly. I was on the phone for an hour with their tech support team and nothing worked. Then I found your video. THANK YOU!!!!

THANKYOU VLAD. This is a very helpful trick I used to download nmap so I could use the ncat binary (Yes, I know mac comes with the nc command, but it's terrible in comparison to nmap's ncat)

If you do pkgutil --expand-full instead, you get a payload file with the application inside so you don't have to do the last part
