Gleaner Super Seven Straight Cutting Spring Wheat 2020 08

The majority of the spring wheat grown in Manitoba will be straight-cut, rather than being swathed. There are still some growers that will swath first, and in some cases, wheat for seed production will be swathed. The down-side of swathing, besides another pass through the field, is the possibility of added weathering of the crop if the swaths get rain.
