I share how I clean and restore dirty soldering iron tips. It takes 5 minutes and lasts if you look after your iron.
Baker's Soldering Fluid is Zinc Chloride (always handle with care).

Thx for video glad to know I'm using it right lol. All I could find locally was this stuff and in a flash it coated the tip, I was afraid I ruined it lol.

Magic ! Plumbers flux works the same seems to be more aggressive than normal electronic flux, don't use plumber flux on your pcb just for cleaning dirty soldering tip

But hey he likes them tinned and clean. Hes the tidy sort... 😀. He'll have to clean the whole rod at that rate. Ceramics will corrode the whole metal in a single project he'd better have a spare... 😀. Me I'm just lazy I just soak them in vinegar... 🙃
