DP/30 Short Ends: Scarlett Johansson talks Under The Skin

For those of you expecting a more traditional DP/30 experience with Scarlett Johansson, here is the uncut 9 minutes (or so) with the actress, talking to David Poland about her TIFF-premiering film, Under The Skin.

This was the performance of her's that proved beyond any doubt that she's more than just a pretty face. Yeah, her nude scenes got all of the media attention, but her performance is so fascinating, a sort of detached, cold but somehow slightly sad, eerie curiosity. She was incredible.

I can't believe how nervous she was during this interview. (lol) When she says she was fortunate to be apart of the big-budget Marvel movies I think she undervalued herself. My main reason for watching the Marvel movies was for the awesome visuals and she was definitely one of them.

Woah, that's right. We think of her as a marquee name but her first film (correct me if I'm wrong) was Ghost World, and she hit it big with Lost In Translation. Of course she's more used to indie film. Wow, sometimes you really need to realise things aren't how you thought they were.
