Sync animations? Man this needs to be a key marketing point. People have been waiting for this to return. Shogun was peak.

Best part was when he said " individual battle animations are coming back"... Now I'm a little more excited to play this game

All the changes here are appreciated and steps in the right direction. Devs should keep updating the game and add interesting content later like the Assyria and Babylon and also Myceneian Greece that will be fantastic.

The equipment system is one of the best additions to any Total War game, ever. Being able to equipment bows, swords, and spears, and having those result in your general be accompanied by similarly armed bodyguards is an amazing bit of customization that I hope gets carried forward to future games, in some form.

I never wanted this setting, but I am really looking forward to this game right now. It just seems like it will be a lot of fun - I get their vision on this one. It kind of reminds me of Shogun 2/Attila crossed together in a bronze age setting without the OP hero's and fantasy units of recent games.

I do love the return to sync animations. I hope the battle systems work better and feel better than Troy

So:
1. Forts were introduced in Rome 1 and improved in Medieval 2 and Empire; Legitimacy system was introduced in Shogun 2 as game progression through conquest and in 3K it has been improved making it related to buildings and faction's bonuses; Production outposts were present in empire and napoleon, while in shogun 2 were resource-based. You just put them in a secondary building menu for the main settlement.
2. Specific combat animations were already present in Shogun 2. I wonder how much in detail you got this time.
3. Victory points have been introduced in Rome 2 and they were already giving you morale boost/loss. Looking at city map, they won't be relevant as they were in the previous games.
4. Sieges equipment copied and pasted from Rome 2. Wall sapping is present since Rome 1 and recently took back from 3K. However, they had better graphic: in this game it seems the devenders made a gap in the wall while constructing the defences! For a 2023 game I was expecting more.
5. Burning down the settlement... Attila easiest way to win a siege battle.
6. Game starts with leaders in power... Shogun 2 and 3K... oh wait, Rome 1! Interesting just that others can challenge you too.
7. Competences seems Rome 1 and Medieval 2 general's skills and traits; titles are basically the same system of 3K.
8. Ancillaries and personal weapons are the same for 3K. The only innovative things is that they determine the general bodiguard.

Heck yeah!!! I really like the leader equipment idea!!

I wish we could do the same thing but with like captains or minor characters, but I am just happy to have a return of visual changes to units with equipment upgrades.

Proud of you!! Em Hotep ❤

Please fix unit collisions that would make this game 100x better.

At first i thought it was gonna be a cash grab reskin of troy. Yet the more of these video come out, the more it's clear to me. Despite the troy's aesthetic, there are new things that being create or improve from the previous titles. Interesting.
