It's kind of insane how on paper all Jack's gloves do is make the weapons he uses more powerful than normal. The fact he's able to use so many different items as weapons and with such skill really highlights how lethal he truly is.

The fact that in the original Greek myth, Hercules died because of the blood of an enemy is really fitting. Never would have thought that Jack would use his own blood to defeat Hercules!

As an anime only, this is my favorite fight. Great backstories individually but also worked well together.

I like the fact that Heracles' final labor wasn't to win, but to provide hope and a path to redemption to one of the most haineous killers in history

And the fact that Jack legitimately regrets his death and wishes he could see him again is proof that he succeeded.

The animation in this season has improved GREATLY over last season! Glad to see they are giving the anime way more love and attention now. Just goes to show you how even without amazing animation how interesting and enticing this story is

It kind of struck me how the only mortal to cheer for Jack out of all of humanity would be Ann despite what he put himself through and how it ultimately will end up affecting the fate of humanity. Not even his own mother would cheer him on despite all that was at stake after seeing what he put himself through, in all likelihood she would be one of the people throwing rocks at him.

As a Manga reader I REALLY needed them to do a good job with this fight. This is easily the best round so far and we are now on round 8 in the manga. I think the Japanese voice actor for Jack was... *chef's kiss 🤌

A bit of spoiler "Jack The Ripper" here is not the real one. He has far more kills under his belt(He also killed the real Jack) than real one. He seems to only go after people who are dyed in the color malice. Not saying he's not evil, he's lawful evil.

Hercules lost the fight, but he won the battle against Jack. After his speech about humans he decided he would save Jack. Which you can say he does at the end, since after this Jack does show some noticeable changes. (In the manga, not the anime atm.)

Jack is one my favorites on RoR, my guy is badass and has Batman preparation using his weapons(and man, his theme and his voice on Brazillian Portuguese Dub is also a good point to the character )
