I have watched all three movies of Noomi Rapace. And I am still talking about her.
She is one of a kind and the role of Lisbeth Salander was superb and will always be memorable for me.

It's debatable on which has the better Salander. Noomi Rapace gave a ferocious performnace and really made the character her own, but Mara's version was clearly closer to the novel and she did get an Oscar nomination for her performance. I guess it's all a matter of taste.

No matter what you think, this is an amazing story, with a unique heroine who I adore.
As a lover of films, I look forward to seeing David Fincher portray the rest of the films, it's interesting to see different adaptations of such an amazing story! :D

Noomi is beautiful no matter how she looks, and she played Lisbeth in a great mysterious way. But I can't help but love Rooney's portrayel. She gave Lisbeth an intensly dark aura surrounding her. Both played them in such great ways that each are fantastic in their own way.
From a true fan that can take both for what they are.

@sarahkinzz I agree. I like both performances for different reasons. Noomi because she really captures the body language and badassery that is Lisbeth whereas Rooney's performance is more vulnerable and portrays her as not only a badass female, but also a victim of abuse. They were both great.
Actually, I heard that Noomi was asked to play Lisbeth again for Fincher's movie, but she turned it down because she'd already played the role thrice before and felt another actress deserved a chance.

I don't think we should keep comparing Noomi Rapace and Rooney Mara. They both did a fantastic job with uniquely different portrayals of Lisbeth, and both of their careers are taking off as a result.

I hate trailer voice overs. They seem so cheap in this day and age. No one does them anymore. Maybe in the 90's and further back, but c'mon, now people have learned to read title slides without voice overs. Ugh.
And no, just because it is low budget doesn't make it any less lower in quality. Except the cinematography. I swear the film was shot through the lens of vomit. It was disgusting, literally.

I was playing World of Warcraft when I went downstairs to get some food, my mom was watching part 1 to this.

I stayed downstairs and watched them all.

All 3 Swede films (Tattoo-Fire-Nest) are on Blue-Ray offering the choice to watch in English or Swedish voice, and/or in addition if you like - the usual subtitle selections. I plan to watch ALL of the new Fincher franchise too. Because I saw the Swede versions first - three times each, (about 23 hours) I imprinted on that version. I only suggest watching all six. So far there are 4.
By about January 2014 - all Six should be completed and everyone should see all six and make up your own mind.

I like the cinematography of the US version, but I think Noomi is the better Lisbeth. Rooney Mara is super cute though.

@VirusOfCyrus i totally agree with you, just a few days ago i learned about the dragon tatoo which is in theaters now. So im a bit confused to why these movies (2 and 3) were just out two years ago.

@LuxxInterior Good one. Being an actress myself, I think Mara's version of who she thought Lis was, was more believable, in my opinion, almost all of the actors from the swedish adaption didn't seem as -seriously- sunken into their characters as much as they needed to be. ehh.

I've heard from several sources that the Swedish films are MUCH better than the American ones, so there are some people who don't buy into the Hollywood hype. :)
