I’d caution people that learning how to code differs based on what you want to pursue. Although some of these principles are generic enough to be applied across several fields, if you were learning to code for game dev, more focus would be spent on 3D math and less on how servers work.

On top of these great points, I would also add some basic principles, like SOLID. Basically, no matter where you go, a startup or a big company, mobile, web or server, learning these fundamental principles will make you a better engineer. At some point, people realise that being a good engineer is not about frameworks or databases or even languages... That's why big tech asks questions about the fundamentals, like algorithms and data structures.
