What Will Happen To Max In Stranger Things 5?

I disagree that Max will become crippled once she wakes up. She only broke her limbs, which heal quite easily. I do have hope that she can recover from her blindness, though it doesn't seem very likely.

Her dying was so sad for me, especially after her escape scene. I used to watch it for inspiration. now that I know vecna gets her, I can’t bring myself to watch the scene anymore. I cried so hard and I haven’t been the same since

After this (Sadie's break out season) I highly doubt the Duffers will sideline her. If they thought about doing it, they simply MUST reconsider now. Sadie proved that she is a star on this show and deserves more screen time. Max might have even proved deserving of a role on a spin off. Sadie's acting chops elevated this show this season, and they would be fools not to take advantage of that.

my god. i am so happy she’s alive and they told us so early, it’s been eating me alive. she’s strong af ✊🏼 i’m gonna be super sad if she’s in the bed for most of thee entirety of the show but she’s an outstanding actress i doubt they’d do that, but i’m jus so happy she’s alive, she’s my favorite for sure. since season 2, i’m so excited to see her reunite w eleven!!! that’s the worst part, she’s got a tough life so i’m glad she made it! 🤍

I have a theory about Max heading into season five. So we know that when Eleven entered her mind, she wasn't in the void. This essentially confirms she is braindead for now. What if Max is trapped in Vecna's mindscape and is kept prisoner there like Hopper was in Russia this season. Victor Creel could even be there as payoff to that comment Vecna made about wanting to pay him a visit. While there, she could receive the ability to see Vecna's memories and dreams in order to figure out a way to defeat him. Maybe similar to The Black Phone, Vecna's past victims - the Creel wife and daughter, the lab children, Chrissy etc will come back in spirit form to help her discover Vecna's past and for her consciousness to return to her body. I'm betting that when she returns to her body, I think her broken bones and her blindness will miraculously recover in some way, as I don't see how Max being blind in season five would work for the story.

When she was dying, i cried so much..she didn't want to go and i felt like they'd read her letters when she's in the hospital..that'd have been so cool

Since they've already said there is going to be a timeskip I think her bones will be healed up by the time season 5 starts, although she'll still be brain dead and possibly blind. My theory is that even Vecna doesn't know where she's at, because she technically wasn't fully absorbed- the process was stopped right before she "died". I think she's hidden in his mindscape, or trapped somewhere else, with no way back to her body. Those that Vecna absorbs seem to be prisoners but my guess is Max will be free, but has to remain hidden. She will eventually find others and try to free them. One other theory is that she will find the other numbers (the 9 that were absorbed). This equals 20 total. In the beginning of Season 4 it took a roll of 20 to defeat the DnD Vecna.

Max's consciousness may be in vecna's mind, and we can see max exploring the vecna's mind realm, and can participate in epic mind battle at finale.

I'm pretty sure max will make it or else they would've killed her already but what I'm concerned about is when she'll wake up if they only wake her up at the end of the season after they defeat Vecna and win I'm gonna be so pissed sadie deserves more screen time

I have a theory-
I think max is hiding in her memory….the skating memory… it was not necessary to show us that and it felt a little out of place and yet they showed it to us… so I think she is hiding from Vecna in that memory…also in the end of season 2 the mindflayer was shown in the upside down during the snow ball dance….which means vecna knew about that memory and hence it was easier to find her but vecna does not know about max’s skating memory….not sure if its possible…its just a theory….and maybe be in the next season el will have to go find her and I think max definitely will know something about vecna that will help the gang to fight him…

I'm refusing to believe Max won't come back. After how amazing Sadie did this season and how big her character's arc was, I'm choosing to believe they're not done with her yet.
