You know Jason, I have learned so much from a lot of lessons from you, but this one about triplets is the most useful ever. I suddenly understood so many movie themes - Pirates of the carribean - The One Ring Theme - x-Files - to name but a few. I come back to it over and over again as I progress. I find triplets a perfect alternative to arpeggios with 16th notes - not so fast, not so difficult, not so common. I love the 12/8 arpeggios with left-out notes for my own compositions. This concept of triplets is so wide and fascinating! I find it effective to double notes in the melody, like in the pirates theme. You inspire me so much with the ideas you give us. I often start watching one of your lessons and have to stop halfway through to sit down at the piano and improvise what I have heard from you (reduced to my abilities, of course). Thank you for your wonderful teaching, but especially for this lesson!

Hi. I would love to learn how to play piano. I would like to play any song by ear. I would like to learn how to play jazz as well. Will taking your course help with that?

Would you compare triplets to arpeggios ?

Isn’t the triplet three notes in time of two, so a group of three in3/4 or 6/8 or 12/8 are not triplets I believe, but correct me if I’m wrong
